Cuyahoga Falls Cake Smash Photographer

First Birthday portraits are some of my favorite sessions! The calm, quiet studio space is suddenly filled with life and belly laughter when a toddler comes into the studio. Time flies through poses and set-ups, leading up to the cake smash to round out the gallery.

My clients chose to do a donut smash to celebrate their party theme: “Donut Grow Up” (how adorable is that theme, by the way?) It’s such a great idea because donuts have less frosting to navigate and donuts are easy for your baby to pick up to enjoy. This was such a fun and unique session theme, and I had a lot of fun putting it together! I wanted a clean, simple set to keep the birthday girl centerstage, but also wanted a whimsical feel to the portraits. I found adorable donuts to hang as a backdrop to go along with the tasty treats for thebirthday girl.

Since I love creating custom sets for portraits here at the studio, birthday sessions are so much fun! Often, the theme coincides with the party theme, but sometimes it can be related to the baby’s favorite toy or activity. Interested more unique themes for your baby’s photoshoot?
