Blush is a premiere portrait studio offering a boutique experience in our Cuyahoga Falls studio as well as beautiful lifestyle portraits on location all around Northeast Ohio.
Our goal is to offer a relaxing portrait experience while capturing beautiful heirloom portraits to pass down for generations. We specialize in creating custom sets for a one of a kind experience for all of your family milestones.

We are so glad that you stopped by!
Hello! My name is Ashley Smas. My career as a professional photographer began shortly after graduating from Kent State University with a degree in Photo Illustration in 2003. For the better part of my photography career, I concentrated on wedding photography with our company Black Dog Photo Co. and began to work as a commercial product stylist in 2013.
My husband Ryan and I lovingly built our business together and thoroughly loved documenting the most special day of a couple's life. We loved the special connection that we built while photographing weddings. Our clients were beginning to feel like friends that we wanted to keep in our lives. (in fact, some of our very best friends to this day are former brides and grooms!) I soon began to fall in love with capturing each and every milestone rather than just the larger events in their lives. There is nothing more special than watching a family grow and change year after year and getting big hugs from my little Blush friends!
When not photographing squishy babies and chasing kiddos for their sessions, my very favorite moments are spent at the ballfields watching my kids play. I have a strange obsession with the Golden Girls (hence my dog Betty White!) and can recite every word to the entire Gilmore Girls series. I love cooking for friends and entertaining at our home. Along with work and Mama duties, my spare time is filled with volunteering at Akron Children's Hospital and the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.

First Year Milestone Bundle
We LOVE catching up with our sweet Blush friends throughout the year!
Capturing all of the first moments in your baby's life is so important. As life gets increasingly busy, it is so important to freeze all of those tiny moments in time. They are only little once. Our first year bundle begins with your newborn portraits and continues your three favorite milestones during your baby's first year. From the first little smiles to their chubby legs taking those first steps, we love to capture it all. It is so much fun to catch all of the little details that make your little one so special. The first year package concludes with a beautiful hand designed album with your favorite portraits. Milestone Sessions can be scheduled at any time during baby’s first year, but we recommend scheduling around major milestones such as mastering head control with tummy time, social smiles and sitting up unassisted. Popular milestones include months 3-4, 6-7, 9 and of course, the first birthday.

Newborn Portraits
The early weeks of a child’s life are some of the sweetest and most memorable new parents will experience. As magical as the first weeks of parenthood can be, these moments also fly by. We understand that we are granted a privilege when asked to share in the excitement of welcoming a new addition into your family. The best newborn photography is done with an experienced photographer who loves the intricate details of a newborn session. This includes staging, posing, lighting, props, and detailed post production.
Nothing matches the precious nature of this time in a parent’s life. We offer beautiful posed portraits in studio and natural lifestyle portraits in your home. We provide a caring, professional, and unique approach to preserving the sweet memories of your baby’s first weeks of life.
Newborn session fees begin at $725 with a fully edited gallery.

We love to dream up fun and whimsical themed sets for holidays!
Whether it is here at the studio with our carefully planned themes or on location in partnership with our amazing vendor friends, we know that we can offer a one of a kind experience for our clients. We are happy to share Christmas sets that we have so lovingly created through the years. Each set is custom planned and designed by Ashley. We will be releasing new sets throughout the year, so be sure to check back for our latest creations! Christmas sets are released to our Blush VIP's in October.
Our specialty sessions are 20 minutes, leaving plenty of time to connect with your family and get the best possible experience!

First Birthday & Cake Smash Portraits
Let's celebrate...First birthdays are the best!
A portrait session is a perfect way to celebrate your sweet baby turning one! We are honored to capture this milestone with a traditional or cake smash session. Our first birthday and cake smash sessions are custom designed and can include up to three outfits. Many parents choose to have their first birthday portraits scheduled when they are eleven months old so that they can have their beautiful portraits in time for birthday parties or invitations. Portrait sessions start at $450 for the session with the private gallery.

It’s an ever-evolving space, as we are constantly creating new handmade props and backdrops as well as ordering beautiful items from our favorite boutiques. Our beautiful studio is located in downtown Cuyahoga Falls and is just a short drive away for families in Cleveland, Fairlawn, Chagrin Falls, Hudson, Stow, Medina, Canton, and all throughout Northeast Ohio.
